Jatee Kearsley Owner & Pastry Chef

Jatee Kearsley, owner & pastry chef of Je T’aime Patisserie. Created Je T’aime Patisserie from my love and passion for baking, pastries, and community.

I started baking at an early age and can’t see my life without it. As a teenager, I would have bake sales outside of my apartment building in Queens, NY, selling baked goods to all of my neighbors. It became a summer ritual for me. When my neighbors began to repeatedly ask when  I would have the bake sale again, I knew this was "my thing". I became unstoppable when it came to baking after I received a Kitchen-Aid stand mixer for Christmas from my mother. Although I was young, that machine kick-started to my baking career.

Fast forward to now with my very first bakery – it’s surreal. After visiting Paris, France, and falling in love with the city, I knew I wanted Je T’aime Patisserie to offer Parisian-style pastries, but with my special twist. I hope to inspire you to taste and try new things here at Je T’aime Patisserie.

Neighborhood Speaks

  • This was one of the best pastry experiences I've ever had. You would literally have to go to France or Jè Taime Patisserie for a REAL Croissant Hands Down!!!! The Staff was very pleasant. The owner was working just as much and as hard as her staff.Q They were extremely attentive, answering questions, giving information, and also it was teaching going on amongst the staff and owner. Very clean. Very inviting. Very Much will return again🤌🏾✨️💜
